When installing an 888142-5001S and or 888143-5001S on a 2015-2016 Ford 6.7L PowerStroke, this AP0198 turbo mounting pedestal update kit is required to update the turbocharger mounting pedestal, Coolant Lines and related hardware to the newest 2017 Truck pedestals.
This kit enables you to convert from the externally top oil fed turbocharger to the new style internally oil fed & drained turbocharger that was found on 2017-2019 Ford F-Series trucks. Failure to do so, will lead to oil starvation and bearing failure of your new turbocharger.
